Sometimes, volunteering can really suck. Perhaps it is the weather, being too cold or too hot. Maybe you’ve got tons of homework to do and simply feel you don’t need any extra distractions. We can always find reasons to put off volunteering: its called rationalization, and as young adults and students we have become experts at it. But how do we remind ourselves why we volunteer? How do we bring back that underlying motivation when we can’t seem to see straight? I struggle with this, and I’m sure many of you do as well.
